Modus operandi of the ATM thieves...

There have been plenty thefts at / near the ATM machines. The thieves smartly "fool" their victims into handing over their ATM card and PIN number to them...

HOW this happens, you might wonder...

I have finally found the modus operandi used by many of these ATM thieves... Check it out. It will blow your mind too...

Step 1: An individual who apparently is making a bank transaction at the ATM machine.
Step 2: What he really is doing is placing a trap in the ATM machine to “capture” the next user card.
Step 3: Altering the ATMs is a risky business, these individuals work in teams. The lookout warns of any possible eye witnesses / or of the next potential victim.

Step 4: Here we see the next client using the ATM, after the trap has been set. He inserts his card and begins his transaction. WOW! The victim fell in their trap...

CHECK IT OUT HOW...

Finally, BE CAREFUL while accessing ATM machines.

PRECAUTION is better than Cure...

SPREAD the word. STOP ATM thefts.

L Be it in my love life, or in my career, or in my life as a whole. I have found myself at the crossroads of life, not sure which way to take. Shame on us... Thefts reported in sophisticated IT company in Mumbai

Capgemini Consulting India Ltd, part of the Capgemini Group which is ranked among top 5 global consulting firms, has recently been in news... for all wrong reasons...

First... They gave increments to ALL of its employees (excluding senior managers and above) ranging from 0% to 6%... IT'S REALLY A SHAME!

Second... Now the IFM (Internal Facilities Management) department within Capgemini Mumbai has become notorious for its indifference to the problems faced by employees...

The problems have been quite uncommon, yet persistent. Capgemini India has been expanding at a furious speed, however, IGNORING safety & comfort of its workforce.

None of the offices of Capgemini India are fire-safe! These offices are extremely congested and prone to fire at any moment. And God forbids, if there is a fire outbreak, the employees would DIE inside the office due to suffocation and choking. There are no proper fire exits and infrastructure is pathetic!!

Now there have been THEFTS reported in Mumbai offices of Capgemini. I am not joking... Find below the recent mail being circulated among the employees complaining to the IFM to improve security arrangements and to ensure that belongings of the employees are safe…

The current security arrangements are so pathetic that the IFM can't even trace who is stealing valuables from employee's desks!! They have installed video cameras, but only at entry & exits!!! What nonsense... How can someone trace who is carrying what inside their bags... they must have installed security cameras inside the office, at various locations, also!!

IT'S A SHAME, CAPGEMINI.

PLEASE PASS IT ON TO YOUR FRIENDS AND COLLEAGUES... TO TELL THEM TO TAKE CARE OF THEM BELONGINGS.

India Shining in the US - Hall of Shame!!!

On Monday, the Indian government itself consecrated the oft-circulated fiction as fact in Parliament, possibly laying itself open to a breach of privilege. By relaying to Rajya Sabha members, a host of unsubstantiated and inflated figures about Indian professionals in US, the government also made a laughing stock of itself.

The figures provided by the Minister of State for Human Resource Development, Purandeshwari, included claims that 38 per cent of doctors in US are Indians, as are 36 per cent of NASA scientists and 34 per cent of Microsoft employees.

There is no survey that establishes these numbers, and absent a government clarification, it appears that the figures come from a shop-worn Internet chain mail that has been in circulation for many years. Attempts by this correspondent over the years to authenticate the figures have shown that it is exaggerated, and even false. Both Microsoft and NASA say they don't keep an ethnic headcount. While they acknowledge that a large number of their employees are of Indian origin, it is hardly in the 30-35 per cent range.

Some of the popular myths…

  • In a 2003 interview with this correspondent, Microsoft chief Bill Gates guessed that the number of Indians in the engineering sections of the company was perhaps in the region of 20 per cent, but he thought the overall figure was not true.
  • NASA workers say the number of Indians in the organization is in the region of 4-5 per cent, but the 36 per cent figure is pure fiction.
  • The number of physicians of Indian-origin in the US is a little easier to estimate. The Association of American Physicians of Indian Origin (AAPI) has 42,000 members, in addition to around 15,000 medical students and residents.
  • There were an estimated 850,000 doctors in the US in 2004. So, conflating the figures, no more than ten per cent of the physicians in US maybe of Indian-origin – and that includes Indian-Americans – assuming not everyone is registered with AAPI.

These numbers in themselves are remarkable considering Indians constitute less than one per cent of the US population. But in its enthusiasm to spin the image of the successful global Indian to its advantage, the government appears to have milked a long-discredited spam - an effort seen by some readers as the work of a lazy bureaucrat and an inept minister.

"This minister (D. Purandeshwari) should be held accountable for misleading the members of parliament and the citizens of India. This just shows how illiterate and mentally defunct the current Indian govt. is," wrote Anand from Melbourne. Purandeshwari is not the first minister to use the dubious figures in a system where politicians depend heavily on their bureaucrats to furnish facts, figures, and speeches. Former home minister L.K.Advani used the same figures in a speech some years back on a visit to Washington DC.

Microsoft & Yahoo vs Google - the ugly side...

On Friday, Feb 1, when Microsoft announced that it is going to buy the troubled Yahoo! Group for an estimated price of $44.6 billion, all hell broke loose. Yahoo said in a statement that its board would evaluate the proposal "carefully and promptly in the context of Yahoo's strategic plans and pursue the best course of action to maximize long-term value for shareholders."

Undoubtedly this consolidation is aimed at taking their biggest rival, Google Inc., head on. I don’t want to discuss what strategy Yahoo & Microsoft has in mind, but I have noticed one strange this happening with Yahoo Mail, which is, in my opinion, very unprofessional.

I have Google AdSense account and I have subscribed to its daily email reports, using my Yahoo mail account. Till January 28, everything was quite fine, as I used to receive daily email reports of my AdSense earnings. However, since January 29, all Google AdSense mails were being sent to JUNK folder in Yahoo mail. I noticed this of late, and then investigated this matter to the best I can. I found that a little before the Microsoft – Yahoo consolidation news broke out, Yahoo has taken this very unprofessional approach to mark all mails related to (any) Google product as SPAM. This includes Google AdSense reports and YouTube alerts among others.

This is extremely amusing yet unprofessional on Yahoo’s front… Hats off to Google, which has terrified the two (so called) WWW biggies in a very short span of time. Keep it up Google!!

India - now the Richest Country - can buy 7 developing nations (literally!!)

Do you know that India is now the richest country in the world!

It's due to Mr. G Vaidyaraj, who donated all his wealth, about which he actually did not know.

He is a descendent of Raja Krishnadev Raya from Mysore district. For the last 300 years or so, three stones were worshipped in his house. But nobody tried to see what it was, except this person, who is a lawyer by profession.

One day, when there was nobody in his house, he took the stone out to see what it was that they worship. Due to the dust deposited on it, from many many years, it looked only like a simple stone. But when he touched it, some portion of the stone was cleansed. And he saw a bright ray of light. He saw something which attracted his attention. And he was amazed when he cleaned all of them.

The whole room was filled with light. He discovered they were diamonds of about 4600 carats each. He informed the Government of India and the news is censored for its security.

It's now deposited in Swiss Bank.

The cost of single diamond exceeds the GDP of USA + UK. India can virtually buy 7 developing nations. Even World Bank does not have enough money to buy it.

One diamond costs thrice the debt of World Bank over India. One such diamond can buy 10 Bill Gates to you. And the World Bank has proposed the Indian Govt. that it can pay India in Installment if it wishes to do so.

India's GDP is 34.25 billion dollars. Bill Gates property is 95 billion dollars approximate so that is the way 'nature changes'. Our Prime Minister has refused to sell it. He said it will be sold or mortgaged for credit when we need it. Otherwise right now we have no problems. You can go through Times of India with a small column on it a week ago. Star TV presented a 115 min documentary on it about 15 days ago. The Hindu with its half page article in it. After that it was censored as classified.

Another good news is that in the Desert of Thar a deposit of Oil and Natural gas have been found. This stores what Kuwait has in its stomach.India can go with this ONGC energy reserve with another 30 years. And moreover it can export it to other counties. It's incredible!! But true.

An Indian boy in his 12th standard has disproved Einstein's 'Theory of Relativity'. Shocked? Read on...

Sudarshan Reddy has theoretically proven the existence of a sub-atomic particle, which can travel at speed greater than that of light, thereby challenging one of the fundamental postulates of the 'Theory of Relativity'. In his recent research paper submitted to the Institute of Advanced Physics (IAP) at Trieste (Italy), Sudarshan has proved the existence of a class of sub-atomic particles called leptons', which can travel faster than light. The international physics community is shocked by this discovery.Dr.Massimo Martelli, President of the IAP has this to say about the paper submitted by Sudarshan. 'After long, careful and critical analysis, I can confidently say that Sudarshan's re search papers show tremendous leap in our understanding of physics. His investigation mounts up on 'leptons'. His work builds substantially on the work of Einstein and others in the field of relativity.'When physicists from Princeton University tried to measure Sudarshan's IQ with an IQ-meter (at the American Embassy in Delhi), the meter broke down. Sudarshan, incidentally, is the brother of Madhu Reddy, the Indian whiz kid who developed an operating system superior to Microsoft Windows.

We should be very proud of them.

It happens only in Britain - Daughter runs up £20,000 debt after stealing cancer mum's identity

London: A daughter ran up £20,000 (Rs 16 lakh) debts after stealing the identity of her cancer-stricken mother.

Charlotte Dibb, 26, of Bracken Hay, Clitheroe, had been given responsibility for mum Gail McGibbon's banking due to her illness, Preston Crown Court was told. But she was 'betrayed' by her eldest daughter who used the details to take out a loan, two credit cards in her mother's name and another in her sister's. In total Dibb spent £16,590, rising to £20,941 with interest and account handling fees, after becoming a “victim of her own greed”.

The court heard Dibb had already got into debt herself, and faced repayment of more than £600 a month. After falling out of work, she was said to have bought a new car. Her mother only discovered what had happened when she tried to re-mortgage her home and was turned down due to the debts. McGibbon then played detective after being given an address in Lord Street, Great Harwood that the debts were linked to.

She discovered the home belonged to a friend of her daughter and, when she looked through the letterbox, she found post addressed to her piled on the doormat. The court was told she then confronted her daughter who broke down in tears and admitted the scam which she said was designed to help her pay off her existing debts. Dibb admitted nine counts of deception. She was sentenced to nine months in prison and ordered to do 200 hours unpaid work.
