Real story of MY NAME IS KHAN

Here is the REAL STORY behind the recent movie of Shah Rukh Khan - MY NAME IS KHAN. this movie is currently the hot topic - be it the news channels, newspapers, gossip circles, state politics, or even central politics. Here are the main protagonists of the movie: Kabir Khan as a Bollywood superstar; Karan as top Bollywood producer-director; Wolf Studio as world's top film distributor having great interest in movies made by Kabir & Karan; Dadasaheb as the state's once-upon-a-time-powerful tiger who is currently struggling to reclaim his party's reputation; Shivaji Sena is Dadasaheb's party; Nirudhav is the son of Dadasaheb who has very little political will and is not even closer to his erstwhile-super-powerful father; and a few extras (like police officials, state officials, etc.)

Plot: In the current situation where very very few Bollywood movies actually make profit and are declared as HIT, Karan is worried about his most-ambitious project. He has contracted with Wolf Studios and has invested (or wasted?) money to the tune of Rs 100 crore. Karan is well aware of the fact that many of previous mega-budget Bollywood movies had to be thrown into dustbin within the first week of their release. So naturally he is damn worried. So he & Wolf Studios hatch an ingenius plan - a plan which will not only garner lot of public attention for his movie, but also help his get the much-needed support from political corridors. So he contact Dadasaheb, who eagerly accepts his offer. After all, it also has something what Dadasaheb has been wanting for his dredging party. He clearly knows that Nirudhav can not manage on his own and he has to step in to do something otherwise his party's existence was in question. But Dadasaheb suggests a few twists and after a few rounds of discussion, the plan is perfected.

Story: Implementation of the plan starts almost immediately in 4 parts.

PART 1: Kabir comments that Pakistani players must be allowed to play in IPL-3 as a sport should be treated like a sport, and politics should not be mixed with it. (You wonder what IPL & Pakistan has to do in this plan. Well, there is a strong connection. Kabir has invested (or wasted, again?) big bucks by owning a bad-performing team of IPL and if his team has no choice of good players, except Pakistani players. If he do not choose Pakistani players, his team is sure to lose and so is his money going down the drain.) Alright, the public thinks that Kabir is so right that he is appealing to keep apples and oranges separate. Now it is turn of Shivaji Sena to react. Dadasaheb asks (or orders?) Nirudhav to stage a wide scale displeasure of what Kabir has said about Pakistani players, and threaten not to allow Kabir's latest (mega-bucks) movie to be released unless Kabir apologizes publicly. Kabir, of course, is not going to do that because as per the plan, he has to further irk the Shivaji Sena.

PART 2: Now we have a situation here, which is for the eyes of public only. Karan and Wolf Studios are in deep pain. Their Rs 100+ crore are at stake because if their film is not released in Mumbai - which is the biggest market for Bollywood films - their money can never be recovered. Because of these protests, the state machinery & the police is all shaked up, and the public has to take stand - in favour of Kabir, or in favour of Shivaji Sena. The main idea is to generate lot of sympathy in favour of the film, and instill public fear against "freedom of speech against the once-upon-a-time-mightly Shivaji Sena".

PART 3: The conspirators (Kabir, Karan, Wolf & Dadasaheb) then take one of the key ministers & top police official of the state in confidence. They jointly tell public to have faith in state machinery and have no fear from Shivaji Sena. Instead they should freely go to watch this movie. Wow! What a great appeal to watch a Bollywood movie, coming straight from the top officials.

PART 4: Then comes another twist. The state officials threaten the theatre-owners that if they do not screen the movie, despite tight police security provided to them to prevent any unforeseen incident from Shivaji Sena, the state will remove all tax benefits offered to theatres. Bulls Eye!! Theatres decide to step back and agree to screen the movie.

END RESULT: So what did we get out of this 100% successful plan? Simple, more and more money. Let me explain... PART 1: Wide scale public sympathy. Kabir anyways enjoys huge fan-base. So his fans will definitely watch the movie (whenever it is released). But other people also has developed a sympathy against "poor" Kabir. So even more fan-base is created. PART 2 & 3: Supporter for the outcomes of Part 1. More youth would be "appealed" to go adventorous and watch the movie. On the wake of Valentine's Day, this would be a perfect excuse for boys to impress their Valentine - "if they manage to show her this movie, the Valentine is sure going to be impressed with the daring of her boyfriend"... PART 4: Since theatre owners have received a nice "stick" from the government, and they have already paid huge bucks to screen this movie, they will sure charge premium for the tickets. This means, theatre owners will be charging extra.

ANALYSIS: Theatre owners charge extra. So government gets extra tax payments. Dadasaheb and his struggling party gets the much-needed public attention and fear in the minds of public. Conspirators are much delighted as they are earning even more mega-bucks by distributing their film. Since whatever has happened in India regarding the release of this is going to generate additional interest to watch this film elsewhere in the world, it means more business. Kabir is widely regarded as a real hero who stood on his stand and now enjoys even wider fan-base. He can surely charge even more fees for his next film! The public - the poor public ends up paying even more money for the film. The film: Only God knows how crappy or good that film is going to be. Got the point?
